This esteemed accolade is given to schools that demonstrate outstanding inclusive practices, ensuring an environment where every child can thrive. We are incredibly proud to have achieved this recognition.

Southwold is a wonderful warm, welcoming school committed to inclusive practice. They are on an impressive journey of school improvement. This is driven by a passionate team of leaders who have the needs and well-being of the pupils and staff centre stage of the planning process. Changes made are deliberate and managed in a thoughtful, considered way. In aligning the two schools, Southwold and Gagle Brook, strengths have been built on, and common structures have in no way detracted from the individual ethos and culture of each school. Staff, pupils, parents and governors are all fully onboard and see the changes made over the last year as having a very positive impact. The school has now reached the tweaking, embedding and consolidating stage. Leaders are ambitious for all pupils and have introduced a set of core values, the ACHIEVE Values and curriculum golden threads to develop a culture of aspiration within the school.
Achieving the IQM is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our staff, students, and the entire school community. It also reinforces our commitment to refining and enhancing our approach, ensuring Southwold Primary School remains a place where every child can succeed and feel valued.
